Is the Priesthood for Me?

 

Have you ever wondered if you might have a calling to the priesthood?  Are you curious about what's involved in being a priest?  God may be calling you to a vocation to the priesthood.  Try the following quiz...

 

To how many of these can you reply "yes"?

  • A personal relationship with God is important to me.

  • I feel called to give more of myself to others.

  • The idea of becoming a priest keeps going through my head.

  • I want to help people get closer to God and to know the Truth.

  • Going to Mass and receiving Jesus Christ in the Eucharist are very important to me.

  • I've been afraid to ask questions that might show family and friends that I'm interested in the priesthood.

  • I've hidden vocation materials under my bed!

If you've answered "yes" to four or more of these questions, then God may be calling you to the diocesan priesthood.  Priesthood isn't just for someone else.  Have you really let yourself be open to God's calling for your life?  Don't be afraid to open yourself to God's deepest call within you.  It's the call of God's love!
